A lot of men seem to have a common concern before taking their first trip to a nude beach. They seem to worry about how they will measure up to the other men that they will encounter. I know that I had this concern when my wife and I began visiting nudist locations. Since the internet had little specific information on penis size at nude beaches, my wife and I decided to take a couple of visits to nude beaches in Florida and New Jersey and record our observations.
From our observations, we found that penis size at nude beaches ran the full range from very small to very large. We did find that the average penis size on a nude beach was a little bigger than the average penis size of the general public. Our best estimate was that the average penis size at a nude beach was a 1/2 inch longer and had an additional 1/4 inch in girth when compared with the general public.
This does not mean that a man needs to stress about the size of their penis when going to a nude beach. From what we saw, nobody was made to feel uncomfortable about their penis size. However, many men can not help but compare themselves to others. Therefore, we felt it was important for men to have realistic expectations as to what penis sizes they may encounter at nude beaches.

What is the Average Penis Size
When most people refer to penis size, they are often referring to penis length. Since all of our observations would be of flaccid penises, we used flaccid penis length as our comparison statistic. According to an authoritative BJU Study, the average length of a flaccid penis is 3.6”. According to this study, 90% of men have a flaccid length that falls in the range from 2.6 ” to 4.6″.
This was the largest study conducted on this subject (over 15,000 men) and is considered to be very accurate. Measurements were taken by professionals and not self reported by the men as they are in many studies (apparently men sometimes lie about their penis size).
Another penis statistic that doesn’t get as much attention is penis girth. According to the same study, the average girth (circumference) of a flaccid penis is also 3.6″. For the average range, 90% of men were found to have a flaccid girth that falls in the range from 3″ to 4.25″.
Data Collection
I drafted my wife to help me gather the information for this study. She had previous experience with this as she also helped with collecting this information on Penis Size at Nudist Resorts. We just figured that she would have an easier time explaining the penis glance. As it turned out, this was not a big deal as the people nude beaches do not stare but do not avoid looking either.
She became very proficient in her length estimates. Prior to our trip, she practiced size estimates with different lengths of round pipe insulation pieces. She became accurate to within +/- 1/4″ on her sight measurements. Estimates of girth were much more difficult to make and will be less accurate.
To be clear, this is not a scientific study on this subject as we did not take actual measurements. This is an accurate recording of our flaccid penis size estimations at the various places. We believe that this information is a good general accounting as to the penis sizes that you would encounter on a visit.

Penis Size at Nude Beaches
To gather our information on nude beaches we visited Gunnison Beach in New Jersey and Haulover Beach in Miami. Unlike resorts, we could not neatly classify the crowds as either naturalist or swinger lifestyle crowds. The crowds seemed to be mixed and you could find both types.

In addition to these two types, there was also some younger beach goers that seemed to interested in showing off their bodies but not in a strictly swinger type way.
Penis Size Estimates at Nude Beaches
The following charts were created from our observations at Gunnison Beach and Haulover Beach. We visited these beaches on two separate weekend trips and notated observations of 162 flaccid penises.
Penis Length at Nude Beaches
We found that the flaccid penis lengths at the nude beaches to be slightly larger than what would be expected with the general public. The difference was noticeable but there was still a representation of every size group. Any man would not feel completely out of place as far as penis size was concerned.
We theorize that the male crowd at the nude beaches were not predominantly naturists or swingers. The non-naturist crowd may tend to worry more about penis size than the naturist crowd due to the sexuality of nudity to that group. This tendency of some of the crowd to be concerned about penis size may lead to the overall sample having a larger penis than the general public. Some men with what they perceive to be smaller penises may tend not to show up or cover up.
By our estimate, the average penis length at the nude beach was a little under 4 inches so approximately a 1/4 inch more than the reported general average of 3.6 inches.

Penis Girth at Nude Beaches
Once again, the girth estimate was much harder to make than the length estimate so is likely to be less accurate. We do feel that the general observation trends would be however accurate.
The flaccid girth measurements at the nude beaches tended to be a little larger than the sizes reported in the BJU study. Once again, a certain portion of the beachgoers may have a little bit of swinger / exhibitionist tendencies. These people tend to only want to publicly display their penis when they feel it is bigger than average.
By our estimate, the average penis girth at the nude beach was a little over 4 inches so approximately a 1/2 inch longer than the reported general average of 3.6 inches.

Reasons Not to Be Concerned About Penis Size
Concerns about penis size are always much more significant to a man than to the rest of the world. I do not think that anyone at these beaches were actually too concerned about the penis size of the other bathers. If you can get over the issue then I think that penis size will not matter.
I have pretty honest talks with my wife and I am very sure that penis size is way down on the list when she is deciding how attractive a guy is. When talking about just physical attractiveness, she finds other factors like physical fitness, hair, eyes and face to be much more important than penis size. This is not even mentioning all of the non physical characteristics like personality. I am pretty sure that most women feel the same way.
Reasons to be Concerned About Penis Size at Nude Beaches
Penis size is something that many do at least casually notice at nude beaches. I carefully watched the eyes of woman that I talked to and they do at least always take a very quick glance at that area. Women do not dwell on it but they do notice it.
While not important to most women, it is important to some woman. More importantly, it is something that is mentioned in conversation at times. Once again, woman can talk about how big some guy’s penis is and then be perfectly happy going home with their boyfriend who has a smaller penis. But of course, you feel better if you are both the boyfriend and one with the big penis she was talking about.

What Can Be Done about Penis Size?
If you are concerned about your penis size at nude beaches, you have three options.
- Get over it. If you can deal with it, then it is not a big deal. Having a smaller penis is not a deal breaker to most women. As a matter of fact, it is not even a major factor to most.
- Don’t go or cover it up. If it really bothers you, then you don’t have to go. If you go, most nude beaches are clothing optional and you will not be kicked out for covering up.
- Work on enlarging your penis. There are a few scientifically proven ways to enlarge your penis if this is a real big concern to you.
